About.

YOUR COMMUNITY. YOUR RECOVERY.

The Harrisonburg Resource Center seeks to connect community members with local services and resources. The center was formed through a partnership among Strength In Peers, Harrisonburg Rockingham Community Resource Center, Harrisonburg Rockingham Department of Social Services, and Harrisonburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority. Strength In Peers operates the center, and is located at 733 East Market Street, Harrisonburg, Va.

Strength In Peers is a nonprofit organization of people who have lived-experience recovering from mental health challenges and/or substance abuse. We strive to empower individuals during recovery by offering services that encourage connection, access to resources and self-sufficiency.

“LISTENING WITHOUT JUDGEMENT, SUPPORTING WHOLE-HEALTH, SHARING STORIES, AND GIVING HOPE.”
